But why do they package hot dogs in either 6 or 10 to a package, while they sell hot dog rolls in a package of 8 or 12? One would argue that it makes the consumer choose between having enough rolls, or too many rolls. We always were left with too many rolls, and then would freeze the extra. But who wants to eat a thawed hot dog roll? Lets have a bread company and meat company summit to coordinate the package quantities!

Looking for a new employer: King James version
The Knicks hired Interbrand, a brand management/valuation firm to create a profile of the potential of LeBron's "brand" depending on which of four teams he signed with. Not surprisingly, the LeBron brand would have the most earning potential if he signed with the New York. The kicker with the presentation was that Interbrand determined the achievement that most drove brand value for LeBron (and probably most other sports stars) was winning a championship. So, ultimately, performance would net the player the most earning potential. Am I missing something here? How much money did the Knicks spend on this, because I could have slapped this presentation together for $100 and told LeBron the same thing. No wonder the Knicks have stunk for the last 10 years!

To Blog or not to Blog?
Greetings!
Welcome to my first post! I have always wanted to blog but never have fully committed to putting fingers to keyboard so to speak. So what to expect from this blog project? I'm not totally sure. I think this is place to begin building the Jason Clay "brand." This will be a great exercise in writing my thoughts on subjects down in a coherent manner. I expect my favorite topics to be sports, business, food and the hospitality industry in general, and things that I find humorous in everyday life.
Give me a chance to play around with the format of this platform and check back to see what I can do! If you stumble across this blog then thanks for reading - hopefully it made you think a little and laugh a little!
