Looking for a new employer: King James version

Browsing the internet this afternoon I came across an interesting link via probasketballtalk.com. Forbes got a copy of the power point presentation that the New York Knicks made to LeBron James yesterday to try and persuade him to sign with the Knicks. (personal note - as a rabid fan of the Boston Celtics, the greatest basketball franchise ever, it would be totally acceptable if LeBron decided not to sign with the Knicks or any other Eastern conference team!)

The Knicks hired Interbrand, a brand management/valuation firm to create a profile of the potential of LeBron's "brand" depending on which of four teams he signed with. Not surprisingly, the LeBron brand would have the most earning potential if he signed with the New York. The kicker with the presentation was that Interbrand determined the achievement that most drove brand value for LeBron (and probably most other sports stars) was winning a championship. So, ultimately, performance would net the player the most earning potential. Am I missing something here? How much money did the Knicks spend on this, because I could have slapped this presentation together for $100 and told LeBron the same thing. No wonder the Knicks have stunk for the last 10 years!
